Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's first season of anti-cheat didn't live up to Activision's expectations

Activision noted on the official Call of Duty blog that its anti-cheat software Ricocheat worked well when Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched last October, but it didn't live up to the company's expectations with the launch of the game's first season and Ranked Play mode.

The company explained the steps it has taken to improve its anti-cheating efforts, including banning cheaters every hour, which increases the speed of dealing with them, and expanding the staff and efforts for manual review of clips that may contain evidence of cheating.
